Upgrade Storageperformance issues in Word with Zotero
Hello, I've been experiencing performance issues in Word for the past few days. I’m using a MacBook Air with the M4 processor, and when I open my Word document that contains several Zotero citations, Word’s CPU usage shoots up to nearly 100%. Scrolling through the document becomes very sluggish, and when I try to type, the letters appear only with a significant delay.
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled Word, but the problem still persists. All software updates have also been installed.
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this poor performance?

And to be clear, this happens after you restart Word without interacting with the Zotero plugin in that session?
If you make a copy of the file and use Unlink Citations, and then restart Word, does it still happen in the version with flattened citations?
