Possible to relocate 'storage' folder?

Hi,

I'm looking to relocate just the storage folder (on macOS, if it makes a difference). Is this possible?

Everything I've found on this seems to involve moving the entire Zotero folder, db and all. I just want to move the storage folder.

    You can symlink just the 'storage' folder as an unsupported configuration, but otherwise no.
