APA Edition 7, support

apa edition 7 now cites with footnotes, not after the sentence? How can this be? Please help!
  • No, you have something set up wrong. APA had always been (author, year). Where are you setting the citation style?
  • Edit, then settings, then in the window quote and select “APA 7th edition.”
That was always set and it quoted directly after the paraphrase!
Now, when quoting, a number and a footnote appear. But I haven't changed anything in the meantime.
  • No, the Cite settings are just for managing installed styles — you can't select a style there.

You choose a style where you're actually using it. In the case of the word processor plugin, that's in the plugin's Document Preferences window.
