Move a reference between a group library an My Library

I was thinking of creating a "work space" group library with a small number of references from My Library to be able to work on that set on my tablet.

There does not seem to be a way to synchronize references across libraries, so to achieve what I described above, I need to make sure that I only work on the reference in the "work space" group library, and when I want to put it back, I need to remove it from My Library and drag & drop the "work space" version over there.

I tried with an annotated PDF and it seems like all the data is transferred.

Am I correct or am I missing something (either an easier workflow of a glaring mistake)?

In terms of group functionality, this is correct. The reason you are using a group at all is that you don't want to sync all files in your library (be it for economic or other reasons)?

It’s mostly because I want a focused "work space" where I have only a few articles/books to read/work on, and all the independent notes that I use as the basis for my writing.

So, it’s not so much for economic reasons rather than to reduce the "noise" and help me focus on a few documents at a time.

But in the end, I need to (or feel the need to) put everything back in My Library.

Just using a dedicated collection for this would seem to be much simple, if that's sufficiently closed off as a workspace.
