Zotero can not sync files added from local

Hi, I have two computers with Zotero installed. I added a file from one computer to the corpus (not using the connector extension, just adding a related file from local storage), but I can not find this newly added file on another computer, always saying I can not find the link. How do we deal with this kind of issue? Shouldn't it be synced?
