Image inserted in Notes does not sync across devices

Hi everyone,

I am using Zotero across two Windows devices. I insert an image in a note, and it looks fine. However, I can only see a blank rectangle on my other device. Even the path to the image location is identical in both devices. I also have lots of storage left (nearly all of the free 300 Mb) and the image in question is below 400 KB. I am using version 7.0.15 on Windows 10.
What's the problem?

Do you have file syncing enabled? You haven't synced any files to Zotero servers.

I am using Google Drive to sync article PDFs, so my settings look like this:

Does this mean that I can't sync images in notes?

Yes. You need to use Zotero file syncing if you want embedded images to sync.
