Duplicate account

Hi there,

I have been using Zotero desktop for a few years, but went to sign in online to access a library shared with me, but none of my emails seem to be associated with an account (I never received and password reset emails, meaning no acct assoc.).

I then made an account, assuming I just didn't have one somehow, only to then find my Zotero username under a tab in the desktop app. Not the same username for the acct. I just created. But I have no idea, then, which email account the original username is associated with (it's neither of my two email addresses), and I cannot seem to login on browser with that username. So I am just not sure what to do.

Basically, I want to link of these, so that I retain on desktop library but can sync with browser and access libraries shared with me.

Is there a way to merge usernames? Find out the email assoc. with that original username or reset the password for it without the email (because it kind of seems like no email is assoc.)? Or log out the original username and login with new one and not lose the library?

It's not possible to merge accounts, but if we can verify your ownership of another account, you can delete this account and we can add this email address to the other account.

(All accounts have associated email addresses, but it's possible you mistyped the email address when you registered.)
