Style Error: Norsk APA-manual - APA 7th edition (author-date)

edited May 31, 2025
Hello,

I've found two errors in the mentioned style.

Line 9 is supposed to contain the following:
link href="https://sikt.no/norsk-apa-referansestil" rel="documentation"
It currently contains the following:
link href="https://www.unit.no/tjenester/norsk-apa-referansestil" rel="documentation"
Former Unit has merged with other parts of the Norwegian government into Sikt, and the documentation has moved.

Line 1280 is supposed to contain the following:
date variable="accessed" form="text"
It currently contains the following:
date variable="accessed" form="text" suffix=","
The documentation gives the following example on page 82: “Utdanningsforbundet. (u.å.). Innlegg [Facebook-side]. Hentet 21. mars 2023 fra https://www.facebook.com/Utdanningsforbundet”. The style currently produces the following output: “Utdanningsforbundet. (u.å.). Innlegg [Facebook-side]. Hentet 21. mars 2023, fra https://www.facebook.com/Utdanningsforbundet”.

Thank you for making this style!

  • you'd need to put XML code in <code> tags to be visible.

You're confident that the website format isn't an error in the documentation? The comma there is obviously in the original APA format and it makes a lot of semantic sense (even though it's not grammatically required in English either), so it'd be an odd choice to remove it.
  • Yes, I’m sure the comma isn’t supposed to be there. Norwegian generally has many fewer commas than English.
