Upgrade StorageAdd/ Edit Citation slow, multiple issues
Hello dear Zotero Community,
I am currently writing my master's thesis. I am working on a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro and 16 gb Ram. The document has about 65 pages and about 23000 words. For some time now it has been taking forever until I can insert a citation. Sometimes the citation field does not open at all and Zotero stops responding more and more often. I am using the latest version of Zotero and have already tried to deactivate the automatic updating of citations, as I have read that this is supposed to help. Unfortunately this has not been successful. I'm worried that Zotero will soon stop working at all and in the worst case I won't be able to create the bibliography... Does anyone have similar experiences or tips?

adomasvenYou should make sure that the checkbox in Zotero Document Settings for automatic citation updates is unticked, and avoid restarting Zotero, since every time you restart Zotero the first citing operation will be slow. If you think it's uncharacteristically slow, produce a Debug ID for an operation that takes a while and we can take a look.
