Proposal to Implement User-Defined Synchronization Intervals in Zotero
Would it be possible to add a feature in Zotero's auto-sync settings that allows users to customize the synchronization interval?
For example, users could choose to sync automatically every hour, every few hours, or once a day. I've noticed that when Zotero's auto-sync is enabled, it keeps syncing constantly, which leads to high memory usage and causes Zotero to lag. It also results in unnecessary consumption of network resources.
If a customizable sync interval option were added to the built-in auto-sync settings, users could control how frequently syncing occurs. This would significantly reduce Zotero's impact on system performance and memory usage during operation.

dstillmanAuto-sync should be instantaneous. If it's syncing "constantly", there's something wrong, and you should provide a Debug ID for reproducing it.
