Unable to fully retrieve metadata from a particular journal

Running the latest version of Zotero (7.0.15) on Mac OS.

I can't seem to get Zotero to successfully pull all the metadata from a particular open-access scientific journal: https://www.johs.org.uk/

When retrieving the metadata from a PDF, Zotero only manages to retrieve article title, authors and abstract. No journal name, date, DOI, etc.

When I add the article via the website (using the Chrome "Save to Zotero" extension), it pulls a bit more data but never adds the article date, nor the article's PDF (despite the journal being open access).

Also weirdly enough, when I add an article URL via (https://www.zotero.org/save), it returns an error.

Not sure if this is a website formatting issue, or a failure of Zotero to be able to pull the data from the website. Any suggestions?

    It seems the DOIs they use for their articles aren't properly registered — at least not on doi.org (e.g., https://doi.org/10.54531/HPVL3645). This breaks metadata retrieval and interferes with adding the item in various ways.

    I'd suggest contacting them to ask why their DOIs can't be resolved through doi.org.
