problem accessing zotero interface

I am not sure whether this happened when I synced my own computer with the library or when I uploaded 2.0, but I can seem to access Zotero's ordinary interface. When I login and open my library, I see a list of my collections and items under each collection. But the regular interface that allows me to interact and perform actions--download items, search tags, etc.--is missing. It's like I see a printed copy of my library on the screen, but the library itself has disappeared. I am certain there is some simple thing that I am missing, but can't seem to access the normal zotero function in mozilla firefox. Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks!
