Zotero 5 pdf reader not available in Windows 11

I recently installed Zotero 5 for Windows 11. Every time I open a pdf, it opens in Adobe PDF reader.

Pointers:

- No, I cannot install more recent versions of Zotero due to company policies.
- No, there is not an option to use Zotero PDF reader in the preferences.
- Yes, the system default is the currently selected option and it is what is causing the files to be opened in Adobe.
- Yes, the files are correctly stored at: C:\Users\\Zotero\storage

Zotero didn't get its own PDF reader until v6. Prior to v6, PDFs opened in an external reader.

(also, using Zotero 5, which is no longer supported, including not receiving security patches, is decidedly unsafe, no matter what company policy says)

(Just to be clear, Zotero 5 was released in 2017.)
