want to add a reference to a group of references already added

whew, that subject line makes no sense. sorry. here is an example:
This is in my doc: kidney disease(franklin, 2009; jones, 2011). Now, I want to add another ref to that. Do I have to start over and add the other two back in - to get them to be in chronological order? Or is there a shortcut?
  • That's easy. Assuming this is in Word, just click inside (franklin, 2009; jones, 2011) and hit Add/Edit Citation in Zotero tab in Word. That's why it says "Edit". The red box that opens will have your Franklin, 2009 and Jones, 2011 already as bubbles. You just add one (or many) more citations by typing after them (or before or in-between).

If those two citations do not show up when you hit Add/Edit Citation, you have bigger problems. You may have flattened your file, removing the field codes.
