Help! Accidentally deleted ALL history by mistake!?!

I reached my storage limit and was having a tidy-up. I accidentally deleted my entire storage history. I am not an ICT genius by following some online instructions to find the data saved on my laptop (I never even knew it existed!), then following the advice to rename the sqlite files...but nothing has been restored. I am midway through an assignment and have lost all my references. I genuinely do not know what to do now!?!?!

What exactly do you mean by "deleted my entire storage history"? What do you mean by "lost all my references"?

There's a Reset File Sync History command in the Sync settings, but that doesn't affect your library data.
