Citations incorrectly using em-dash for numeric ranges?

Hello. Sorry if this is an elementary question, but I am using Zotero for the first time to manage and insert citations into MS Word. I set it to use the Nature citation template that came with the program, which should use superscript numeric text for inline citations. It does. However, for multiple citations, it is using an em-dash for the numeric range, which is incorrect. It should be using a shorter en-dash. How can I set this to use the correct dash? Thank you in advance.

    That's almost certainly an en dash -- no style uses em dashes for numeric ranges. How exactly have you checked?
