apa 7 still with number

for in-text citation, I want to write in numbered brackets and apa 7 style, I used this link “https://www.zotero.org/styles/apa-numeric-superscript-brackets” with a suggestion. BUT the brackets look like a superscript, they need to be at the same level and the same size as the text. can anyone please help.

    Open the the style file and search for:
    vertical-align="sup"

    Delete that, change the style title and ID at the top of the file, save, and install into Zotero.

    In Zotero, click Tools -> Developer -> Style Editor and make the changes I describe above.
