Issue with Zotero Reference Detection and Tracking in Word
Hello,
I'm currently experiencing an issue with Zotero's integration in Microsoft Word.
When I insert a reference into a Word document using the Zotero plugin, it appears correctly. However, after closing and reopening the document, Zotero no longer recognizes the previously inserted references. If I add a new reference, the citation numbering restarts at 1, as if the document had never been linked to Zotero before. This means that each time I reopen my document, all previous references are ignored, and I lose the citation numbering sequence.
This problem occurs consistently every time I open the Word file, making it very difficult to manage citations and the bibliography.
I am using the latest versions of both Zotero and the Word plugin.
Could you please advise on the checks or steps I should take to resolve this issue?
