Hi! Hope you can help me! I have followed the steps at https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues, but the problem is not resolved. I began receiving the error message "An error occurred while saving this item. See Troubleshooting Translator Issues for more information" on all sites, starting this morning, April 12th. I was not having any issues with saving from any sites before today.
I am using the extension on Chrome. And I was actually able to fix the problem by switching to Firefox. But I would like to continue using Chrome if possible.
- The exact URL of a page that isn't working (even if none are):
example of a page that does not work: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agape
- A Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for reloading the page and attempt to save or, if you're only getting a webpage icon, for reloading the page:
Debug ID# D1287454169
-What it says in the popup when you try to save (e.g., “Saving to My Library” or “Saving to zotero.org”)
"Saving to Chapter 3. Agape. An error occurred while saving this item. See Troubleshooting Translator Issues for more information"
-The name of the translator from step 10, if applicable
"Save to Zotero (Wikipedia) has access to this site"
Also note: I am also using an older version of Chrome (116.0.5845.187) because I must use an older macOS. I have a visual disability that makes it hard for me to use mac operating systems from 11 on. Still, I have been able to use zotero without any issues up until this morning.
The error report says:
[JavaScript Error: "TypeError: Error in invocation of cookies.getAll(object details, function callback): Error at parameter 'details': Unexpected property: 'partitionKey'.

That's about Windows, but the same applies — while we may be able to fix this in Chrome 116, you should really switch to Firefox for now.
In terms of macOS, the upcoming Zotero 7.1 will work in 10.15, which I assume you're using. I'd strongly encourage you to try to find a way to work on current versions of macOS, though, since you're going to continue running into more problems with all of your software going forward.
I truly wish I could use more current versions of macOS as I do know this will lead to increasing problems. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about my visual disability, and, at least for now, apple has been unwilling to make accommodations for people like me who suffer migraines and nausea as a result of settings that cannot be turned off in the newer operating systems.
Thank you again for your help!
