Zotero flatpak requires authentication every time for samba attached printer on linux
I believe that this is a problem with flatpak, not with zotero. In any case, I would like to report it here to.
I am working at an office site where printers are shared and made available as windows network printers (which in linux are available via samba). The printers require samba authentication for printing (domain, user, password). This is set up for cups using system-config-printer, that lets one record the authentication data once and forever. With this, you print regularly, without being prompted for authentication every time.
Unfortunately, this does not seem to work for zotero packaged as a flatpak. It requires the printer authentication every time, which is a serious nuisance and leads to users having notes to the side of the keyboard with the printer password.
To reproduce:
1. Assure that you have a linux system with a network printer configured, attached via samba, requiring authentication, and set up so that the authentication password is stored. Also assure that you have installed zotero as a flatpak
2. Start zotero
3. Try to print on that printer
Expected Behavior
You print without being prompted a authentication dialog for the printer, since the password is stored
Actual Behavior
You are prompted for printer authentication every time
