Inline Citations Generated by LibreOffice Add-in are Difficult to Read in Dark Mode

The light gray highlight color used for inline citations works well enough in light mode, where the automatic text color is black. However, the automatic text color is white when using dark mode, providing very low contrast with the citation highlight color. In this example, I'm using ACS style citations.

I suggest setting the text color of inline citations to black by default instead of automatic. This would have no visible effect in light mode, but would improve readability while using dark mode.

  • I'm pretty sure that the shading of Reference Marks (the LO feature Zotero uses for citations) is a LibreOffice feature, not a Zotero one. Try, e.g., inserting a cross reference -- that should look the same.
  • Looks like you're right. I'll move this discussion over to libreoffice.org.
