in-text link between citation and bibliography

I have been asked if this is an option for a current paper I am working on (in Google Docs).

I understand I will have to switch processors and download as Word when the doc is finished and then employ a workaround?

This is something I don't feel that confident in doing. Can someone direct me to the clearest thread on this procedure?

At this point I'm adding my vote for the development of this option!

I got asked if I wanted to run in debug mode Y/N

for either I get an error message about only supports 'fields' type citation

the doc looked like it transferred cleanly and the instructions were good, so I am not sure what the problem is.
