Attachments on right context pane

When I open the context pane (that usually sits on the right of the desktop app), I sometimes would like to right-click on the attachments to open the folder location of the PDF. But this does not work, right-click does nothing.

I also would like to be able to drag the PDF file from there, to throw it on some other window (perhaps an email where I want to attach it). But that also doesn't work.

These things work if I go to the library and open the item to reveal its attachments. There I can right-click to open the containing folder, or drag the file to throw it somewhere else.

But it would be convenient if the same worked in the context pane. For instance, when I am reading a PDF, I have the context pane right there. It is annoying having to go to the library, find again this particular item, and then do what I wanted to do with the PDF. It would be easier if I could do that right there with the PDF open, on that context pane !

You can right-click the tab and choose Show in Library to simplify that process.
  • @AbeJellinek. Thanks that's helpful.

I would like it if the Attachments section in the context pane worked !
  • An upcoming release will allow dragging attachments from the context/item pane.
  • That would be great. Thanks.
