Collections keep disappearing

I manage a group library with 6-7 regular users and a couple weeks ago we noticed that most of our collections disappeared. I found someone with a backup old enough to have those collections in them and used that backup to export the collections and re-import. However, I noticed again yesterday that several of those collections have disappeared again (the ones with names at the end of the alphabet). I assumed the first time that one of the users accidentally deleted them but with it happening a second time, now I am wondering if there is some other issue. A couple of the users are using Zotero 7 and the rest of using Zotero 6. Could there be an issue with syncing those between the two versions? I think I can get the other collections restored again but I am wondering how to prevent this from happening again.

    We're not aware of any general issue, but if you email support@zotero.org with details and a link to this thread, we can tell you who uploaded the deletions.

    Note that nothing has been permanently deleted in the library since the large batch on March 23, though, so I'm not sure which collections from yesterday you're referring to.

    I am not sure when the latest Collections were deleted. I just noticed them missing when I opened Zotero yesterday but they were there a week or so before. Previous to that other collections disappeared in maybe Feb/Mar timeframe. It would be great to see if we can tell how they are getting deleted and which user is uploading the deletions.
  • No, many collections and items were deleted on March 23, but there were no recent deletions before then and there have been none since (unless you restored from a backup and used Replace Online Library).
