Help: McGill Guide website date for modified/visited websites
Hey there!
In the McGill guide [style #7478] when it comes to websites, if the original publication date is not available, we should use qualifiers like "last modified" or "last visited" in the citation.
For example:
Cour fédérale, "Tribunaux canadiens" (last modified 14 April 2019), online: [perma.cc/N4G2-EP7D].
Even if I put the term "last modified" in the date field or in the extra field, I can't manage to get it into the actual citation. If I were to try to make the citation above, it would be generated without the "last modified" part. My workaround has just been to wait until my document is complete, then unlinking from zotero & editing. Is there a way I can get this information in the citation itself? If I can't do it myself, could an edit to the CSL improve this?

You can use a term like so
<text term="accessed" form="verb"/>
and then modify it in the locale.<locale xml:lang="en">
<terms>
<term name="accessed" form="verb">last modified</term>
</terms>
</locale>
