iOS Debug Log: D1891278649

I upgraded my storage plan after hitting the quota, and can no longer download synced files on iPad, instead getting the error ”attached file could not be found”. All files work fine on the pc and zotero online library, and my sync settings are the same across devices. Sync itself seems to be working fine, as any changes I make on desktop are mirrored on the iPad, but no files can be downloaded.

We'd need a Debug ID for actually trying to open the file.

Make sure you've followed Files Not Syncing carefully, though. Upgrading storage would never cause files to become inaccessible that were accessible before. You almost certainly just haven't yet synced files that hadn't ever been uploaded on the computer where you actually added them. You're still using just above the free quota.
  • Following Files Not Syncing is what got me here.

I attempted opening a new pdf document I downloaded onto my desktop and added to zotero. It appeared in my iPad library immediately, but is not able to download. Online library works fine. Let me know if you need any more info or debug logs.

Could not communicate with background transfer service
OK, that Debug ID shows the download, and you're actually getting a strange error that I don't think we've ever seen before.

Try restarting your device. If that doesn't help, we'll need to investigate further.
  • Turning it off and then on again seems to have fixed the problem, as per usual. Thanks for the help! Hope the new error proves at least to be helpful in the future haha
