Upgrade StorageZotero not opening at all
Hello,
Since I bought a Mac, I have been experiencing an issue with Zotero: it does not open at all (I have installed Zotero for Mac) and displays the following message:
“The Zotero database cannot be opened. Make sure you have read and write permissions for all files in the Zotero data directory and that no security software is preventing Zotero from accessing this directory. You might be able to resolve this issue by moving the data directory to the new default location in your home directory. Zotero will automatically detect the new location.”
The read and write permissions are correctly set. I can’t go any further than this. The issue is that after reinstalling the software, there are no files to move. I can access my library online, but on my computer, there’s nothing—only the Zotero icon, which doesn’t work. (The updates have also been done.)
Has anyone encountered this issue before?

Did you transfer Zotero files from another computer?
Open Terminal via Spotlight, paste in the following command, press Return, and let us know the output:
ls -lad ~ ~/ZoteroYou can x out your username.
