Missing f + ligature characters in copy-paste

Trying t copy this text highlighted fails to included the 'fi'

This is the output:
“taken up by speci c actors.”

This seems to have to do with the fact that, in this font, the 'fi' string is a ligature and they blend together. This happens with the letter f for me in various examples.
