Plugin for Updating Metadata Based on DOI in Zotero
When I save an article using the "Save to Zotero" plugin in Google Chrome, the article is downloaded, but some metadata is inaccurate. For example, when I use "Save to Zotero," the author's name appears only as an abbreviation instead of the full name. However, when I import the article directly using its DOI in Zotero, the metadata is complete and accurate. The comparison is shown in the attached image.
My question is: Is there a specific procedure or a plugin that allows me to update the metadata of articles saved using "Save to Zotero" to match the more accurate DOI-based metadata?
Thank you!

The Zotero Linter add-on has some ability to re-fetch metadata. Beyond that, this is planned in Zotero itself, but no idea.
And yes, an update function is planned.
This is very handy to do in Mendeley, there is a tiny magnifying lens next to the DOI and the other file IDs which made re-fetching the metadata super easy. I used it a lot and I am missing this in Zotero, see comparison below.
What I am doing now if the metadata is incomplete is re-fetching from the DOI and deleting the incomplete version of the document... it works but it's not ideal.
