Generate PDF-collection from word-citations

I am working on a rather long text with many citations from all across my Zotero library. The stakeholder of the project wishs to have access to the cited literature, so I am looking for a simple workaround to collect all those PDF files in as little manual work as possible (ideally prettily named first, as with the option to rename the pdf-file based on the annotations).
Any suggestions or links to discussions I've missed in my previous search on the forum?

1. Use Reference Extractor to select the cited items from your document in Zotero. (There will be a way to do this from within Zotero in a future update.)

2. File → Export PDFs.

I've been using https://anystyle.io/ to parse out to a bib file to import into zotero.
Check it for errors.
I often grep through for dois and then import those to clean up errors.

@alankerr: There's no need to use that for citations inserted by Zotero.

I guess my usage is a bit different from OP. I often get docs with refs inserted in all manner of ways and usually don't have access to the original library.
