Issues with webDAV/Syncing and certain files not downloading

Hello, I setup webDAV on Zotero to talk to my local share and that is working fine. I can verify server access with the button provided under the auth credentials. I added the .txt file to accept my self signed cert. It seems like webDAV writes zip and prop files to the share with the same random naming scheme.

The first sync took a very long time and would appear to get stuck at certain points on certain files. I would leave it running for 20-30 minutes, and even left it running for several hours. I had to restart the app multiple times until finally it would progress through each stuck point and the syncing would complete. I'm currently planning to use this setup and sync my library between my windows PC and Mac. These devices each have the default data directory and my Data syncing account is linked with File Syncing happening over webdav.

After I completed the sync on both my windows pc and my mac. I made sure that the mac and the PC both have download files 'at sync time' selected. I generated a new entry on my mac with a large pdf ~110 mb. I sync both of my devices all seems normal. I go and click on that large pdf on my windows PC and it completely locks up zotero. I restarted Zotero and click on the pdf and it reports that it's missing. I then click the sync button and it seems to think the file is there and I click on it again and it completely locks up Zotero. The file opens just fine on my Mac.

Is my outline use not what zotero is designed for? Shouldn't all files be downloaded once the sync is complete and I should have a mirror copy of my zotero on my mac?
