Scrolling issue in Chrome after adding Zotero item

I'm using Zotero 7.0.13 (64-bit) with the latest version of Chrome and Zotero Chrome Extension. When I add a Zotero item in Chrome the webpage scrolling is disabled unless I refresh the page. This started happening a few days ago. If anyone has any ideas to resolve this I would be very grateful.

Same here! I'm using Zotero 7.0.15 (64-bit) and the Zotero Connector Chrome extension (version 5.0.154), both of which are fully updated + the latest versions at the time of writing.

It happens whenever I save a webpage, leave to look at a different tab, and then switch *back* to the original webpage. Scrolling is then locked and has an almost "rubber band" effect (every time I try to scroll the page moves, but then it snaps back to its original position within a fraction of a second). I've tested it a few times, and noticed the following:
    - The issue seems to occur regardless of format/citation type.
    - Like longtermrenter, scrolling comes back after refreshing the page.
    - Scrolling works fine until I switch to a different Chrome tab.
    - The issue DOESN'T occur if I switch from the saved webpage to a different application (e.g. Notepad, Zotero, etc.), it only occurs when switching to other Chrome tabs.
    - The issue DOESN'T occur if I open the Chrome extension but don't save anything.
    - The issue temporarily goes away if I save the original webpage a second time (after it freezes), but it happens again if I switch to a different tab and go back.

EDIT: I found that refreshing the page BEFORE switching to a different tab works, but if anyone has a more permanent solution I'm all ears!
  • Does this happen on every website? Does it happen if you disable other extensions in Chrome?
  • It seems to happen on every website (I tried multiple websites with .org, .gov, and .com domains) and scrolling was still bugged even when I turned all browser extensions off :(
(I also updated Chrome to the newest version I could - Version 134.0.6998.178 - and the issue remained)
  • Could you create a new Chrome user profile and see if it happens there? If it does, could you provide the URLs of the pages that you tested on?
