On-line database won't synchronize to new laptop

Hello, I unexpectedly needed to replace my laptop and am now downloading its previous contents from the Cloud.
Zotero has synchronized several smaller libraries that I had earlier on created, but not the big one (ca. 6K entries). It also returns an error message
"Page Not Found The page you were looking for could not be found" when I click on the icon for that library. The data is, however still on your server. Where should I start debugging?
Thanks!
  • See Changes Not Syncing. You might have accidentally disabled syncing of My Library.
It also returns an error message
"Page Not Found The page you were looking for could not be found" when I click on the icon for that library.
Oh, the app still takes you to a URL pattern that we had to disable due to abuse. We'll fix, but not meaningful. You can see your library by clicking Web Library at the top of this page.
  • So are you saying that there’s no way to download a database in its original format? Exporting ca. 6000 of entries, of which, say 500 have extensive notes and key words from the web version and then importing them back in to the downloaded app doesn’t make sense. Also after the fix, it will synch, and produce an equal number of duplicate files (6000 x 2 =12,000. Otherwise, too adding bibliographic references is not feasible
    I guess there’s something that I don’t understand here...
  • I don't know what you're talking about. I'm saying you should follow the steps on the page I linked to and provide the requested info if you're still having trouble.
  • I'm not sure where you're getting any of this from?
The advice is to check through the troubleshooting guide for syncing, especially number 4) which refers to libraries disabled for syncing, to fix syncing. No one is saying anything about (and you definitely shouldn't) exporting and re-importing your library.
  • After left-clicking on the “My Library” icon underneath the specific library on the desktop app, it immediately synced. Part of the problem may have arisen from unexpectedly needing to replace the entire laptop (it was stolen).
