Upgrade StorageExtra spaces in import from The American Naturalist
When importing the following,

I get the following in the item pane header:

It looks like there are a bunch of extra spaces in the title field. When I delete them, the item pane preview is fixed.

To test, click on the wrench icon, then "Download Citation" and select RIS. Open the downloaded file with a text editor (you may need to tell Zotero to not import it on the way) and you'll see

If you report to them, just mention the extra spaces in the RIS -- some publisher tech support likes to tell people Zotero import is not their problem, so describing issues to them without mentioning Zotero (obviously only when they really aren't Zotero issues) will get you better results.
