Feature Request: If Search Returns Nothing, Offer Searching the Whole Library

Currently, when a (sub)collection of some kind is selected, the search bar searches only within the collection. When changing the collection or going back to the root/full library, the search is cleared.

I understand that that makes sense for a lot of workflows, certainly if the desired item was actually found. But for me, it often means having to type the same search twice, because I forgot to leave the last collection I happen to have been in.

Request: If nothing was found, it should be easy to broaden the search to the whole library, or a higher level (sub)collection.

Option 1: Do not clear the search when leaving a collection - or at least don't do it if nothing was found?

Option 2: When nothing was found, display a message in place of the results that reads something like "Nothing found, do you want to search the whole library", with a link on the text that selects the whole library and repeats the search there (ideally selected by simply pressing enter again after searching)

Personally, something along these lines would often make my workflow more efficient. Is there any kind of workflow that this could interrupt? I suspect that option 1 might interfere with some other ways of using the search bar, but is there anything that could be wrong with option 2?
