Stuck in Troubleshooting Mode

My Zotero app was not working; I restarted my computer and, per online instructions, used Shift + Zotero to run it in troubleshooting mode. Now, it is stuck there; I can't see plugins to identify which one is causing the problem. I don't know what to do next or how it can work normally. I don't want to restart my system again when running it in Troubleshoot mode. Someone, please help me; here's my Debug ID: D766939829

What do you mean by "stuck there"?

You can just close Zotero and restart it.
  • I tried closing it, but it didn't restart again. I restarted my whole system again and opened Zotero again in Safe mode.
  • Sorry, I still don't know what you mean.

Are you saying if you restart your computer and try to start Zotero normally, it doesn't open? What exactly happens?
  • Sorry, it was my mistake that I couldn't explain it well.

    1. I opened Zotero in Safe mode/troubleshooting mode and checked Debug ID. (Do I need to perform some action here)
    2. If I close Zotero, it will not restart normally or even in Safe mode.
    3. Next, I need to restart my laptop all over again
    4. Even after this, Zotero can't open normally. I need Safe mode to open it again.

Thank you very much for your message. Please guide me to resolve this issue.
  • You still don’t say exactly what happens when you try to open it normally after restarting.

See above for reporting startup errors.
  • I can't open it in normal mode; the app is not responding.

Thank you for the above link. I tried Reporting Startup Errors, but it also didn't work.

What happened on your computer between when it was working and when it wasn't?

Install the Zotero beta ("Windows 64-bit Installer"). If it's still not working, open cmd.exe (via Run), and run this command:

    "C:\Program Files\Zotero\zotero.exe" -ZoteroDebugText

Then paste any output here or in an email to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread. (We'll respond here.)
  • I tried cmd.exe via Run and run this command but it didn't work.

But thank you for sticking with me. This Zotero beta solved the problem, and now it is working fine. Thank you again.
