Brand new to Zotero - can't figure out how to convert my PDF to an accepted format
Report ID: 1105873204
A preface before I explain my issue: I am brand new to Zotero and not very technically savvy, so I might say things that are nonsensical!
Anyways, I'm attempting to save a PDF of an article for my class to Zotero. The troubleshooting page that I've been working from keeps referencing the "save to Zotero" button, which I don't have on mine - I'm using Safari and I am sure that I have the Zotero Connector installed. It has access to all websites. Instead, what I have is a little file icon next to the URL, the icon isn't grayed out. I suspect my issue is that the webpage is my college's domain (.edu), so maybe there's an access issue?
When I go to the help page in the Zotero desktop app and click "report errors", the recurring error is that the document isn't in a supported format (PDF or EPUB). Ok, so then I try converting the PDF to a different format, like .docx or something. That doesn't work, I'm probably doing something wrong there as well.
Steps to reproduce: (I don't even really know if this is reproducible since it's potentially specific to my computer, or my college?)
1. Open PDF document
2. Click the file icon.
Then the error occurs...my apologies if this isn't enough info/clear enough in order to help me.
