Zotero for Mac's MS word vanished

For many years I've used Zotero almost every day with no problem. Then this week the add-in simplyh vanished. I've reinstalled Zotero and Word several tiems. I've followed all the usual instructions from web based sources and receive the encouraging message, "Your Zotero Add-in was successfully installed - and then. . . nothning. I'd appreciate any ideas you can offer. Thanks! Doug
