Adding a Date

I am a newbie to Zotero and using for a Masters Disseration. Whilst I am getting on okay with it and creating and citing references I am having a problem with adding a date for a document. The document is a University Policy and Regulation (a must read document!). I have uploaded to Zotero using the 'add file' option and it has picked up the title but not the date and I can't see where or how to add it.

I have tried adding tags (attachment-date: 2024-09-01) but with no luck.

I am using Zotero 7.0.1

Any suggestions.
