Unable to sync between desktop and crome

I am unable to sync between my desctop and crome, as well as with my group partner. When i try to sync I get a notification that "Name of "authors of article" is too long to sync. Shorten and sync again" however when I do this more articles show up with too long names/too many names. How can I solve this without having to change the names of authors of the saved articles?

    Most likely did you did an import from somewhere that exports invalid data (Ovid being a common culprit).

    If you've looked at the items and determined that you don't need these creators (e.g., invalid editor entries from Ovid), you can sort by Date Added, select all the affected items from that import, and run this code in Tools → Run JavaScript to delete all the invalid creators:
