[SOLVED] Zotero connector disappears from firefox after restart
Hey all,
I'm using a fresh installation of Zotero and try to install Zotero conncetor to firefox 135 (endeavourOS). I manage to install the connector and the icon appears, but when I restart the browser Zotero connector doesn't appear at the extension menu or anywhere else. I've tried reinstalling the connector and creating a new profile as recommended and I have no issues with the few other extensions installed. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Edit:
I've noticed that that when I try to reinstall the connector, it appeared in the toolbox. The issue seems to be that the connector was installed to a different profile than the one defined as default. Firefox comes with two "default" profiles, `default` and `default-release`, and it seems (needs to be validated) that the connector is installed to `default` although `default-release` was the actual default profile. Setting a new profile as recommended in https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_toolbar_button only complicated the issue because a step taken to solve the problem has actually concealed it.
(To clarify, I've never defined or altered any profile settings before.)
Thanks @dstillman for you efforts.
