No Author of Book Chapter

I have two book chapters, although I have added authors to both of them, only one shows the author (see images below). The difference is I created the 2nd one by right clicking a book and then "create book chapter". Sadly the problem is not only visual, as the 2nd one is incorrectly cited using pandoc in Obsidian and when exporting to Biblatex the author is wrongly entered as a collaborator.

Correctly has an author:

Not that I have the author entered in the field to the right for both of them.

There's no mystery here — you can just look at the data in the right-hand pane. When you create a Book Section item from a Book item, it moves the Book's "Author" creator to a "Book Author" creator, just as it moves the "Title" to "Book Title". To specify an author for the section itself, you have to add it as an "Author" on the Book Section item.

The Creator column in the items list shows the first authors/editors/contributors, not book authors.

When you export to BibLaTeX, a "Book Author" creator is exported as bookauthor. We can't help with whatever happens after that.

Ahh indeed, but how do I add an author? I don't see any field or possibilty of adding an author:

If you hover over Book Author there will be a "+" on the right side. Click on that and then switch it from "Book Author" over to "Author".

If you don't see the +, you might not have right access to the item -- e.g. you're looking at a group for which you don't have edit access.
