Cannot open PDFs in Zotero 7, macOS Sequoia

I have updated Zotero to the newest version, using it on macOS Sequoia.
When trying to open PDF attachments from my entries the viewer stays just blank no error message. I have tried to import the pdf via web clipper, downloaded it and dragged and dropped it into zotero and deleted and reinstalled the software - nothing works.

The PDFs open just fine in Zotero 6 and Acrobat reader, also on all browsers. So I do not think the files are broken.

    Does this still happen in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”)?

    Does this happen with any PDF or only specific ones?

    Can you disable plugins manually and provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through reproducing this, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?

  • @ah1204 Does this issue occur with EPUB and website snapshot files as well when you try to open them using the Zotero reader?

    Can you go to your Zotero profile folder and send the prefs.js file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
  • I could solve the problem myself, much appreciate your help.

    The issue was likely due to a corrupted installation or a conflicting software that was resolved by reformatting/new set up of my macbook (I had planned to do that anyway). Everything works now. Thanks again!
