Zotero Android App WebDAV issue resurfaced
Hi,
Late last year I posted an issue regarding the Zotero Android app trying to connect to a WebDAV server (see: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/120146/webdav-setup-problem-trust-anchor-for-certification-path-not-found#latest).
The Zotero Android client wasn't able to use the .p12 package installed in the WebDAV server. When trying to verify the connection I always got the error message: "Trust anchor for certification path not found." However, WebDAV syncing did work fine w Mac and iOS clients.
Once I changed the WebDAV server settings NOT to use the Digest Authentication (but left the HTTPS on), the Zotero Android client started to work OK over all connections (public Internet and local network).
Unfortunately the original problem has now resurfaced (Zotero Android v1.0.0.-130) while I have not made any changes to my network nor to the server configuration. Furthermore, the WebDAV syncing still works fine w Mac and iOS Zotero clients over public Internet and local network).
What could be the issue here? Has anyone else observed new issues with the Zotero Android app trying to use WebDAV for syncing attachment files? Has there been changes on the client implementation, ping @dstillman?
My WebDAV server (WebDAVNav v6.6.2 by Schimera Pty Ltd) is still running on a MacMini (old late 2014 model w/ macOS Monterey v12.7.6) and I use NOIP to map the WebDAV server URL to whatever publicIP is currently in use.
ps. Attached a quick log from the Zotero App trying to verify the WebDAV connection
