Best practice to backup and restore referneces
Hello. I've been saving a lot of references to Zotero in the recent past and my library has got complicate. I also use the Notes feature quite a bit to create connections to a common set of references.
I therefore want to make sure I am up to date with best practices for saving my references. I do not store the actual pdf's on the cloud.
So far, I've simply been copying all the sub-folders in the Zotero folder on my Mac's Library. I make sure to copy the .bak files and the storage folder.
Is this still the best practice? Some years ago I restored using this method and had problems with proper referencing of the files on my computer with their entries on the bibliography.
Do let me know. Thanks!
