Turabian 9th Edition footnote issue

I was discussing footnotes with a friend and I realized an issue with the Turabian 9th Edition full note footnotes here. When you have a book with multiple editions, the footnotes come out from Zotero reading, "second edition", when, from my understanding, it should be shortened, for the footnote, to "2nd ed."

I could be wrong, and it's allowable either way, but from what I can find, it's supposed to be abbreviated.

I don't know how to modify the style guides in Zotero, or I would have fixed it on my computer myself.
  • It's most likely because in your "edition" field you actually have it written out like that.
It's always recommendable to just enter the number, i.e. "2", and citation styles are then able to style it as required.
