Undo/Redo in reader edit menu are grayed out

Using version 7.1-beta.8+2afbe030d (64-bit) on Linux, I am able to undo/redo the deletion of an annotation using ctrl + z and ctrl + shift + z. However, the Undo/Redo items under the Edit menu remain grayed out
