Is there a way to see how many attachments are associated with a parent item in column view?

I can see how many notes are associated with a parent item. Similarly, I would like a way to see, at a glance, that a parent item has more than one attachment (eg attached article and attachment with the article's supplemental data) without having to click the "down carrot". Can this be done?
