Strip-periods off but periods are missing

Hi!

I'm trying to use the American Chemical Society citation style but anytime I try to add any citation, periods in the abbreviated journal title do not appear, even though strip-period function for 'container-title' is set to "false". Please find below a screenshot for the code and the corresponding previsualization.

Could you please help me in solving this issue and see the periods in the abbreviated journal title?

I'm using Zotero's last version.

Thank you!

  • If you're looking at the style editor, that's using the information from the journal abbr. field in Zotero -- I'd assume you have the abbreviation without periods there.
Using the word processor add-ons, you can set Zotero to auto-generate the abbreviations (it is set to do so by default) and those defaults to periods (and strip them with strip-periods="true")

Thank you, adamsmith. As you suggested, I clicked the "use MEDLINE journal abbreviation" in document settings in the zotero microsoft word add-on to override the information of the "journal abbreviation" field (with no periods) and it works perfectly fine now.
    Thank you very much!
