[Feature Request/Question] Using keys to interact with toolbar in pdf reader

I am very new to Zotero, but I like using it a lot! I also just saw it was an open-source project which is extra cool, and that is why I came to think of a new feature I would like to see added.

In the toolbar in the pdf reader, it would be awesome to toggle text marking, text underlining, etc. by keyboard keys. So for example, pressing "m" or "ctrl+m" would toggle text marking. Which I would deem really useful when going through a pdf.

I now have two questions:
1. Can anyone attribute to the open-source code? Because if so, it seems cool to attribute, but also no clue where to start
2. If not, is it possible to request features somewhere?
